Nicole Katz
Hi! My name is Nicole Katz and I am the Teen Services Associate with a very rural library in Northeast Ohio. Unlike many of my predecessors, I am absoutely. not. afraid. of. teenagers. A small part of me may be akin to a Peter Pan complex, but ultimately I learned that teenagers, most - out of everything, just want someone to listen to them. They want to feel important, they want to feel valued and despite their angsty demeanors, most are very passionate about their lives and love to learn new things. It has been my daily goal to make sure that at least one person I meet has an amazing moment in their day and that moment, that crazy, funny, life-altering informative moment...happens at the library. Because, well, libraries are awesome like that.
Alyssa Tabor
Hello, my name is Alyssa Tabor, and I believe tweens are among the most remarkable and underrated groups of human beings in the world! I am a Youth Services Associate at a library in southwest Missouri and have the amazing privilege of working with and programming for children birth through eighteen years old. All too often, patrons leave the library as a child and never return. I want to give them a voice and a place, so they will become lifelong learners!
