The Children's Department isn't just for children. Parent's are the most critical part of any child's life and parenting is no easy job. TKML has developed five different Parent literacy training classes to help make your job potentially less difficult. Each class is held 8 times per year and the ever popular, Parent's Open Cafe, is held the last Sunday of every month. All parent literacy programs are held on Sundays from 3-4pm. Like all programs offered at TKML, these are promoted through the following print and online venues: the TKML quarterly newsletter and website, facebook.com, twitter.com, macaronikid.com, the Parkland Station Gazette, and tumblr.com. The TKML quarterly newsletter is also distributed to all local pediatrician offices, OB/GYN offices, Dentist offices and the local Hospital to be included in the information packet given to new mothers in the maternity ward. TKML staff also attend the Parkland Station PTA meetings to promote programming.
