Budget

The Tabor-Katz Memorial Library is funded by county property taxes, royalties from the sales of Nicole Katz and Alyssa Tabor's book, and by contributions from the local Friends of the Library Group. In addition, the library recently won a $3,000 ALSC Baker and Taylor Summer Reading Grant*. These funds have been applied to various aspects of the Summer Reading Program and are discussed in more detail on the summer reading page. Children's Department's programming budget for the 2016 fiscal year is $6,000. The department has been programming since the opening of the library in 1984 and has kept a collection of leftover supplies from all of these programs in a storage closet. This accounts for the number of branch owned supplies in the department's programming plans.

*Disclosure: This library is fictional and did not win this grant. We are providing the most realistic funding possible for the purpose of the assignment.
